Hi all!
Decided to start a new blog as I was preparing myself to fatherhood, I was truly blessed with tons of information shared by other mothers on blogspot. Hope my experience here can help you in your decision making.
Today steps into week 24 of pregnancy for my wife. Previously, we decided to deliver at government hospital because that's the nearest to where we are staying, in Bukit Beruntung. So we were choosing between Hospital Selayang or Sungai Buloh. Partly it's also because I'm a government servant that I can enjoy free check-up and delivery charges, not to mention private hospital usually costs a bomb for natural birth or caesarean.
Then, came across an option in between government and private hospital- Full Paying Patient (FPP) offered at Hospital Selayang & Putrajaya. It offers the patient the choice to choose their O & G specialist where they will meet for check-up and deliver for them personally. (biggest plus point). The husband will be allowed in the labour room and stay the night at the ward. FPP patients are usually guaranteed a ward after delivery, avoid the risk of being transferred to other hospitals should the ward is fully occupied for non-FPP patient. -to be continued-
